Margot Robbie suffered 'thousands of cuts' during racy Wolf of Wall Street sex scene
Margot Robbie has said that she actually got hurt while filming her sex scene on The Wolf of Wall Street.
But it wasn't because the stunning Australian actress got too carried away.
She says she ended up with horrible cuts all over her body during the shoot where she was laying on the pretend money.
Margot played Naomi Lapaglia alongside movie legend Leonardo DiCaprio in the Hollywood blockbuster nearly ten years ago.
In the movie, she plays money-hungry stockbroker Jordan Belfort's second wife and Martin Scorses' film helped catapult her to fame.
But the cast and crew in the room were left concerned about the star, who was just 23-years-old at the time.
She told The Daily Beast : "I got a million paper cuts on my back from all that money! It's not as glamorous as it sounds.
"If anyone is ever planning on having sex on top of a pile of cash: don't."
The beauty maybe wished they had used real cash for the scene!
She went on: "Maybe real money is a bit softer, but the fake money is like paper, and when I got up off the bed, I turned around to get my robe and everyone gasped.
"I said: 'What is it?' And they said: 'You look like you've been whipped a million times. Your back is covered in a thousand red scratches.'"
The producer offered to dilute the sex scene for her comfort, but Margot said she wasn't about to let the viewers down by going in half-hearted
She said: "I think nudity for the sake of nudity is shameful, if they've put it in just so that a girl gets her top off, then that's disgusting. And you can always tell.
"But I also think it's disgusting when someone would have got naked in real life, in the film they conveniently leave their bra on or hold up the bed sheet. Seeing someone being choreographed into being covered up irritates me just as much.
"The whole point of Naomi is that her body is her only form of currency in this world. So when Marty [Scorsese] was trying to help me out and said in the scene where she seduces Jordan perhaps I could have a robe on, I said she wouldn't.
"She has to be naked. She's laying her cards on the table," she said, speaking to The Telegraph in 2014.
Despite being committed to the role, Margot has revealed in the past that she did find filming the sex scene difficult and embarrassing.
She told Porter in 2018: "It doesn't come across when you're watching the movie, but in reality, we're in a tiny bedroom with 30 crew crammed in.
"All men. And for 17 hours I'm pretending to be touching myself. It's just a very weird thing and you have to bury the embarrassment and absurdity, really deep, and fully commit."
