An Indiana teacher fired for her raunchy OnlyFans page is hitting back — insisting that it wasn’t inappropriate for her young students to call her by a nickname she also used on her adults-only account.
Sarah Seales — who was canned June 27 after an article revealed that she had been sharing nude selfies outside of school hours — said her students called her “Buttercup” as nothing but a “sweet” term of affection with no lurid connotation.
“Kids would literally bring me Reese’s Buttercups and I gave them points for it,” the bombshell said in an interview with the podcast “Cocktails with Dimple and the Beard” Monday.
“If I go to Target and kids see me they will still come up and call me ‘Buttercup.’ “
But according to the expose on the website Real News Michiana on her secret second life as an online model, Seales also used the handle “Buttercup1981″ while posing in skimpy outfits on the adult-themed OnlyFans site.
She insisted Monday, however, that there was nothing dirty about the name.
“It’s not a porn name!” the ex-educator said. “I just used it as a nickname for everything … but nobody on OnlyFans ever called me ‘Buttercup.’ “
The 40-year-old says the Real News Michiana article was a hit-piece intended to take her down and accused the male author of misleading readers about the meaning of the name.
“When I originally set my Onlyfans up I used my email name: ‘Buttercup.’ I regret it because of the twisted and perverted way he [the author] tried writing about it,” she declared.
“I’m just so sad that he ruined that and tried to portray that I brought any part of OnlyFans into the classroom,” the former teacher added. “Absolutely not. Absolutely not.”
Prior to her dismissal June 27, Seales worked as a teacher at Starbase — a program run by the Department of Defense that collaborates with local school districts across the country to offer STEM classes to fifth grade students.
Seales was based at the organization’s location in South Bend, Indiana, where she was well-liked by both fellow teachers and students.
The single mom told the podcast that she was distraught after being terminated by Starbase in the wake of the Real News Michiana article, saying: “I sobbed, I sobbed, I sobbed when I read that because the way they [the publication] portrayed me as not being safe with kids is absolutely not true.”
Seales still has her OnlyFans account, and is now amassing more followers in the wake of her firing.
Shortly after she was booted from Starbase, Searles took to Instagram, saying that OnlyFans could help her break out of “the poverty cycle being a single mom and teacher has put me in.”
